Mountain Home - Churdhar
Stay at a quiet mountain resort in Himachal and enjoy multiple day walks around Churdhar
The trekking area can be reached by a 7 hour comfortable drive from Delhi
Churdhar peak at 3650m or around 12,000 feet is the highest peak in the lower Himalaya and its base can be accessed through a 4 hour drive from Chandigarh. On a clear day you gain a staggering view from the summit. The temple on the main summit attracts pilgrims from several villagers and towns in the region as well as trekkers looking for a weekend trek. The main peak and its subsidiary peak present quite a challenge in the winter months as night temperatures drop and camping out becomes quite a challenge. The Mountain Home Churdhar is designed to allow participants to do two back to back day trips to various flanks of the mountain and get a feel of trekking.
