Located at a height of 3800m in the Aru Valley Tarsar Lake is about 2 km’s long and 1 km wide. The Tarsar Lake trek starts
from Aru near Pahalgam in the Lidder Valley. The trek progresses through Lidderwat, Seikwas and it takes about 3 days to reach the Tarsar Lake. From Tarsar one can access the Sonmos Pass and enter into the Sind Valley to end the trek near Sonamarg. This short cross country excursion showcases the enormous beauty of Kashmir.
