Climb to the summit of Kuppar Peak in the Pabbar Valley in Himachal

Kuppar Peak at 3400m or 11,000 feet is a prominent peak in the Pabbar Valley. The objective of the trip is to complete a ascent of the peak during spring when we expect some snow towards the summit area. The adventure continues as we expect to place tents on the summit and camp out, a most unique opportunity. The summit is known to offer a most staggering view of the Western Himalaya.

The Pabbar Valley is a 6 hours drive from Chandigarh. Pabbar is one of areas in Himachal which is off the map and contains rivers, mid range mountains, fruit-laden orchards cradled by thick forest. It is a paradise for nature lovers who would like to escape the busy areas around Shimla and stay in solitude just with local inhabitants of the area.
Cider Lodge located at Jubbal is the home and orchard of Pratima and Deependra Singh (Bhaiyu Singh). Painstakingly built, their home is a labour of love that they created with the help of local workers and craftsman over a period of three years. Merging traditional country style living with modern amenities Cider Lodge carries an undeniable air of charm and comfort which makes it a perfect getaway for friends and family
Day 1 : The Cider Lodge at Jubbal 2100m is spread around a large apple orchard adjacent to a forested area
Day 2 : The trip starts out by taking a short drive of 5km’s to Kharapathar 2500m from where we begin the trek to Tumru Top 3000m
Day 3: Four hours and a climb of about 850m we set up a Summit Camp at 3000m
Day 4: The objective on day 4 is to summit Kuppar (3400m ) and enjoy a staggering view before heading back down to the Cider Lodge
