Tungnath is the highest Shiva Temple at a height of 3680m and is believed to be a 1000 years old. Just 30km’s away
further north as the crow flies is the temple of Kedarnath which is virtually at the same height. Kedarnath is also a
Shiva temple and is believed to be over 3000 years old. Access to both temples involves a trek. The ‘Call of the
Trident’ trip merges religion with adventure and through this process makes us appreciate the connection between
mythology and the mountains as it prevails in Garhwal.
