Landing at Paro airport helps one avoid long mountain drives which are typical of treks right across the Himalaya

One of the most popular treks in Bhutan is the Druk Path Trek which connects the towns of Paro and Thimphu in Western Bhutan. The shorter version of this trek is the Tsaluna Trek which was used by the local population to move between cities before the roads came up. From a high point the views open up of the peaks towards the north and the valley view all around.
