Pokhara offers spectacular scenery, adventure activities, and multiple food and accommodation choices. The mountains are just 20km’s away and appear in touching distance. After a gruelling trek the lakeside Pokhara is the perfect place to recharge your batteries before heading home. | The initial part of the trek offers a look into the life in the villages on the southern region of the Annapurna Sanctuary | Forecast Camp: For a couple of days the trail progresses through a thick forest which finally leads on to an exposed ridge offering grand views |
---|---|---|
High Camp: As you trek towards High Camp, the trail leaves the tree-line behind and moves along an exposed ridge | Base Camp: The most dramatic part of the trip is the trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp 4500m. Since the trail is rocky, uneven and slippery, this section is the most tricky and challenging part of the trek. Along the way, the fantastic views of Annapurna, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre start unfolding in the backdrop. | Descent : Over a long day descend down to the road head and drive on to Pokhara to celebrate the end of the trek |
The Fish Tail Lodge enjoys a unique location with Fewa Lake on one side and a forest hill on the other. The views are spectacular with the panorama of Annapurna range and Mount “Machhapuchre” (Fish Tail), and their reflection on the lake. The Lodge featured in the bestselling book “1000 Places to See Before You Die” by Patricia Schultz and has had the honour of hosting Former US President Jimmy Carter and HRH Prince of Wales. |
