HET (Himalayan Environment Trust) has evolved its approach towards social and environmental projects in the Himalayas.Nurturing Social change is driven by enlightening, improving awareness, and educating the local communities, while solving problems around their needs. We at HET are working on targeting one village at a time whereby we run multiple projects focused around protecting the Himalayas and the people that inhabit them.

![]() Day 1 : The journey in a drenched Meghalaya becomes an intimate experience. You will be introduced to local flavours of state on the way, followed by a stunning view of Nohkalikai falls at dawn. | ![]() Day 2: Trek to Nongriat to witness the Double Decker Root bridge and swim in the hidden natural pools. Complete a Road Show in Nongriat. | ![]() Day 3 : Treks to Nongthymmai and Minting where they can experience the Living root bridges in the valley. Followed by a Trek back up to Tyrna. Day |

Bonfire sessions at night. | ![]() Day 5 & 6: Umiam Lake: Attached to the Rk Kynjai hotel is the sprawling Umiam Lake. After breakfast spend time on the lake front before heading back to the airport for your flight home | ![]() Accomodation: The Mika is the rustic and comfortable lodge in Cherrapunjee. Campsites offer an outdoor experience. The finale night is at the iconic Ri Kynjai , a boutique hotel located on the outskirts of Shillong |
