The Langtang National Park is characterised by steep, jungle covered valleys at lower elevations, and wide, barren alpine valleys once the trail climbs to Langtang Village. The Lantang region is the 3rd most popular trekking area in Nepal after the Everest and Annapurna region. This is due to the striking nature of the head of the valley which becomes wide at a higher altitude and its proximity to Kathmandu. March is good time to visit as the wildflowers and rhododendrons are blooming. At the head of the the valley there is an opportunity to undertake multiple climb’s of varying challenge levels.
