In 1965 the Patron of Juniper Captain. M.S. Kohli lead the first historical ascent of Mt. Everest when 9 members climbed in the peak. This time around we retrace the steps to the historic basecamp of Mt. Everest. Also a key highlight is to climb Kala Pathar and get a close view of the Everest peak. Junipers carefully designed itinerary includes an extra rest day at Pangboche with a possibility to trek to the Ama Dablam basecamp and this reflects an endeavour to build a safe acclimatisation schedule which is the key to any successful trek in the Everest region. On the way to EBC trek past famous villages of Namche and Khumjung as well as Thyangboche monastery that reflect the renowned Sherpa culture. All nights are spent in eco lodges hand picked by Juniper. There is flexibility in the itinerary to return via helicopter through a supplementary charge or make an attempt on Island peak.
