KANGYATSE

CLIMB

With Stok Kangri becoming over crowded the more viable and quiter option of a trekking peak in Ladakh  is Kang Yatze. It is a prominent peak in the Markha Valley. the peak has two summits.  Kangyatse 1 is a challenging climb and typically only attempted by experienced mountaineers. Kangyatse II is lower at 6250m and is recommended for trekkers looking at an experience of climbing a 6000m peak. It is recommended to follow the Markha valley trek and acclimatise enroute and get then prepare for the climb.  On a clear day from the summit views as far Nun Kun & Zanskar ranges in the West & the K2, Broad Peak & Gasherbrum Massif in the far North.
