
POON HILLS TRAVERSE
Poon Hill is situated north of the lake city of Pokhara and just
below the mighty Annapurna Range in central Nepal. From the summit, at 3210m, over 60 peaks higher than 6000m can be seen including the three giants of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m) and Manaslu (8163m) – ranked 7th, 10th and 8th of the world’s highest peaks. The sacred mountain of Machhapuchhare (the fish tail, 6997m) is visible in front of the range.
