PUTASAR LAKE

TREK

Putasar Lakes are a clutch of five glacial lakes, scattered over at an altitude of 4000m, high ahead of the Malana valley in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh. One hour from Manali and you start climbing. After establishing three camps, you have an option of climbing up close to the Shringantingu peak and do a traverse of a couple of ridges to reach the ShringantingulLake. On Day 5, you head towards the Putasar Lakes, climb the Jodo Ka Tilla, enjoy sumptuous views of the entire Himalayan ranges of Himachal and head back to the camp. The return is a long traverse followed by a moderate descent through a birch corridor before you end the trek.
