TOSH VALLEY

TREK

Undoubtedly the Tosh Valley trek is stunning, picturesque and beautiful. If there was ever a pretty valley walk through an expanse of meadows to end, it is the Tosh. Located in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh, the Tosh is a feeder valley of the popular Parvati Valley. The Tosh nallah meets the Parvati river at Pulga arriving from north. In fact it is at Bhuntar you will catch the first glimpse of the Parvati River. Not just the trek, Kasol from where you would start and finish the trek is nice little town to saunter around, soak in the cold fresh air and indulge yourself in some culinary delights. The Tosh Valley is narrow but as you climb higher the vista broadens, taking you through several pretty meadows leading to Sharam Thatch which is 2/3rd up the valley. Tosh is popular among mountaineers. The snout of the Tosh Glacier is surrounded by well-known peaks such as Papsura and White Sail. You start your trek at the Tosh village and gain a maximum altitude of 3800 M at Shamshi Thach. It is from here you go up the Animal Pass or walk up to the snout of the Tosh Glacier.
