CHURDHAR EAST
Churdhar 3650m doubles up as a ‘training mountain’ for those looking at a fitness boost and a ‘get a feel of trekking’ peak for first timers. Three nights and four days is all that is needed from Delhi to Delhi to get close to 12,000 feet through two days of trekking. Snow on Churdhar stays on till May and the legend is that the Kings during the Moghul period used to organise horsemen who would pick up snow from Churdhar and ride in relay to the Red Fort at New Delhi so that the Badshah could have a chilled drink in the evening.
