RUPIN AND SUPIN TRAVERSE

This is an ideal beginners trek and is takes you through mountain villages, which are seldom visited. The trek starts at Bitri village in the Rupin valley. The chief objective is to cross the high ridge separating the Rupin and Supin valley. The initial part of the trek takes you through a thick forest. On Day 3, the forest disappears and you start walking through meadows. After a steady climb, you reach Vijay Top (3700 M), the high point on the ridge separating Rupin and Supin valleys. It’s nothing short of panoramic, commanding stunning view in all directions. Towards east you get to see Swaragrohini, Banderpunch and Kalanag soaring into the sky. Toward the north is the ridge leading upto Baraadsar Lake and towards the west, you can see the peaks around Kinnaur. The trail descends further into the Supin valley which offers some amazing campsites. As you descend down to the valley floor, you pass through Khasla, the highest campsite in the Supin valley followed soon by reaching Phitari. The trek ends in Jakhol from where you drive back to Netwar and onwards to Mussoorie.
