The Pir Panjal range is a subsidiary range of the main Himalaya but offers the adventure enthusiast
multiple objectives. The range is south of Srinagar and can be accessed via a short drive.
Sunset Peak 4750m is the highest point in the range. The peak is climbed infrequently and
the challenge includes traversing a glaciated section and a knife ridge leading to the summit.
