Nag Tibba and Luntsu Peak are located on the outskirts of Mussoorie town and are often climbed by school groups from Dehra Dun & Mussoorie region. Both the peaks are about 10,000 feet high and offer a wide view of peaks in Garhwal. Of these peaks Luntsu Peak is relatively unknown and offers both a short challenging climb and a wilderness experience. The trek starts from the beautiful Devalsari village known for its charming Forest Rest House and the Deodar forest surrounding the village.
Day 1 : The trek to Luntsu Peak starts from Devalsari village located 4 hours from Dehra Dun airport
Day 1 : By lunch arrive at a campsite adjacent to the Devalsari Forest Bungalow
Day 1 : After lunch there is time for a 3 hour trek covering various villages in the region to acclimatise for the next days climb
Day 2: The climb to the peak is predominately through a most stunning Deodhar forest
Day 2 : In the distance Devalsari village cluster as you continue the climb towards the peak
Day 2: By noon time reach the Luntsu Pass after which the forest starts to thin out

Day 2 : Luntsu Peak 2750m offers a dramatic 360 degree view
Day 2 : On a clear day the summit offers a wide view of the Garhwal Himalaya
Day 2 : After completing the climb descent back to Devalsari Forest Bungalow
Day 3 : A short walk to the road head followed by a 4 hour drive to Dehra Dun airport completes a short weekend in the Himalaya
